This is the class to join if you’ve never done pottery before but have always wanted to try it. Four weeks of instructional class time on the basics of pottery, wheel throwing, and some hand-building. Plus extra practice during our free open studio times on the weekends.

Classes are relaxed and teaching is one-on-one as needed. All classes include intermediate and advanced students, so help and technical advice are always available. You will learn basics like wedging, centering, trimming, and glazing.

Our four-week sessions normally begin the start of every other month. Due to remodeling scheduled in July, the next class will be starting in August 2025. August classes will be posted and available for purchase the first week of July. You are able to miss a class without losing it, but we ask that you complete your four classes within five weeks.

All of our classes are adult classes which meet once a week for three hours each; students choose the day of their class. You are then reserved a spot in that chosen class day/time for the next consecutive 4 weeks. You cannot change your class around each week, as there are only 8 spots per class.

Four-week classes are $225 which includes 12 1/2 pounds of clay plus all studio glazes and electric kiln firings, and open studio time on Saturdays and Sundays.

Please note: There are no refunds after the first class. Cancellations up to 8 days before the beginning of your class will receive a refund minus a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations less than 8 days before the beginning of your class will receive a 50% refund.
