Susan Burlingame: Printing on Clay Workshop

$80.00

This one day workshop, lead by ceramic artist Susan Burlingame, will show you how to use direct & mono printing techniques to add imagery, color and texture to your work. She will demonstrate how to create and use your own low-tech screen prints for direct application on clay. As well as, tips for layering imagery, blending colors, and embracing the beautiful unpredictability of surface decoration.

Susan creates small-batch functional ceramics in her Lancaster home studio. Her love for clay began in high school and grew through a decade at a local community studio before moving to her own space in 2017. Inspired by the tactile joy of clay and the expressive possibilities of surface design, her work combines texture, layers, and color to create truly one-of-a-kind pieces.

Workshop will be held on Saturday August 22nd, from 8:45am-5pm.

Coffee and light fare in the morning and a full lunch at noon will be provided.

Clay and tools will be provided. If you are not part of the studio, we recommend bringing a few ware boards so you can bring your printed slabs of clay home with you.
